The Feminizing of the American Male Through Intolerance… (or, the Promoting of Bullying Through Zero Tolerance Policies.)
Bullying has been going on since the dawn of time itself. And the only way to stop the bullying mentality is to stand up to them. Unfortunately, more often than not, you do have to actually fight; however, win or lose (and no one likes to lose) you do have to stand up for yourself. The problem is that most schools and workplaces have a zero tolerance policy to violence. On the first glance, this may seem like a good idea, but most bullies have a tendency to turn this around on their assailant. People, even youthful students, get to a point where they are tired of being picked on, pushed around, and kicked to the curb.
Regardless of where you work, or go to school, they all have a similar policy, but at no point in time will they admit that they have any liability to protect you. Hmmmm! All they are concerned about is their bread and butter, not you. I have touched on inalienable rights, or at least mentioned them, in previous write-ups. The fact is that this comes down to the determination of either being a “Federal Citizen” or a “State Citizen”, which I will explain further in another write-up. On the surface is this: A “Federal Citizen” receives his/her rights directly from the Bill of Rights from the US Constitution (in essence a piece of paper grants these rights); on the other hand, a “State Citizen” IS endowed with these rights by God, Nature’s God, or by virtue of the fact that you are living, breathing, and alive. The “State Citizen” is given inalienable rights by his/her creator as is depicted in Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”
The species of man has a long running history of protecting himself from attack, until now. This zero tolerance attitude has been infiltrating the school system for decades and is an agenda promoting intolerance to self-preservation. My question is this, if you want to promote a zero tolerance policy concerning violence, where are the protectors of the people that are being bullied? Whenever a bully gets his/her socks knocked off they are the first to go to the principle to say they were attacked, in which the principle ends up suspending the kid who just could not take the bullying anymore. On the other hand, a bully may take getting their socks knocked off as a hint that maybe they shouldn’t bully anymore. Aristotle once said, “Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms.” Meaning that you cannot be trusted to take care of yourself with the tools at your disposal, only the leader can do this properly for you. It is pretty sad, that if a teacher, your boss, as supervisor, or some other person of authority is not around when you are getting beaten, who will protect you? And for that matter, if you protect yourself you run the risk of being fired, suspended, etc. So, where are the protectors?
I will leave you with this quick note, many people – mainly mothers and principles – do not believe in violence because it does not solve a thing. I raise the question: Then explain the formation of the United States and the fact we do not fall under British Rule nor speak with a British accent? I am a firm believer in standing up for one’s self as it is the only way to gain a certain confidence in your abilities. (Those of you who are British, I do not intend this in a derogatory way, only as a point, I have friends and family who are British and I am ½ British. I am also ¼ French and ¼ Irish – which explains all of the inner turmoil! ha-ha)
